Which is the best tooth whitening product you can buy over the counter?

I know I can get my teeth whitened at the dentist for around $450. This is pretty expensive and am wondering if anyone has tried anything from the chemist or supermarket that has had good results. I'm getting married and want to have beautiful white teeth for the day. Can I achieve this with over the counter products??
